Hi there! 

I am Sam Vaccaro, Integrative Therapist from the Berkshires. I am passionate about helping women reach their mental health and overall wellness goals. I use a holistic approach and love alternative healing. I believe that knowledge is power and the main focus in my approach is providing you with knowledge and tools to assist you in reaching your best self. I focus on whole person healing strategies. Stress and mental health challenges affect all areas of your life including emotional, physical, social and spiritual and therefore your treatment should include each of these areas.

 I am passionate about helping women become their best selves. 

My hope is to utilize what I have learned from both my life experience and my higher education to help women achieve optimal emotional health through non tradition/ holistic mental health and wellness treatment. This approach will ask you to embrace key areas in your life including physical, emotional and spiritual health.

Do you ever notice the physical impact that your emotions have on your body? Chronic stress or anxious thoughts often lead to stomach upset, heart racing, tension in shoulders. Depression can lead to physical exhaustion and aching joints. I ask you to consider these connections in our sessions and provide you will somatic tools to improve your physical and emotional symptoms. This is done at your comfortability and through simple somatic exercises such as breath work, small movements, stretching.

 

If Somatic therapy isn't for you, thats okay! Additional methods I use include CBT, MI, DBT & more.

Somatic Work 

Somatic therapy is a holistic approach to healing that focuses on the connection between the mind and body. It incorporates bodily awareness and physical sensations to help individuals process emotions, trauma, and stress. Techniques may include mindfulness, breathwork, movement, and various forms of body-oriented practices. The goal is to release tension and promote emotional well-being by addressing the physical manifestations of psychological issues.
